Sony Xperia Z1: Full Specifications Leaked Ahead of Launch
Sony's most anticipated flagship smartphone - the Xperia Z1, is slated to be announced at IFA Berlin tech show. A lot has been written and said about Honami i1, a camera centric phone by nature. Now a new report has surfaced on the web, which extensively sheds light of the exact internal specifications of the device.
According to ePrice forums (via SlashGear), Sony's umber cool Xperia Z1 comes with a 5-inch TRILUMINOUS Display with X-Reality technology. Even Xperia Z packs a 5-inch display Full HD display; however, the latter phone is powered by Bravia Engine 2 technology. The Xperia Z1 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, as per ePrice forum post. It would not be a surprise for us to see the latest processor goes inside Honami. Sony's Xperia Z Ultra already comes with same beefy processor.

As reported many a time, the Xperia Z1 will have a 20.7 -mega pixel camera with " G Lens " and dedicated BIONZ image processor. On the front, there is a 2-mega pixel camera for long video chat. Further, Sony's forthcoming device to sport 2GB of RAM, 16GB of ROM ( expandable), NFC, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 4G LTE, 3G, GPS, IPX5/7 certification, and Miracast , among others. Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. Not much is known whether there is a possibility to see Android 4.3 Jelly Bean from the day one.
We have seen above mentioned specifications, alleged pictures of Xperia Z1 and more in the past few days. Just before the official launch of the most anticipated camera phone device, a tester has come up in open and described his experience with Honami device. First spotted by PhoneArena (via HardwareZone.com.sg, the forum post would be enough to decide whether Xperia Z1 is a hit or miss.
" The metal power button is so much smaller than the one on Z and the phone is a bit heavy. Almost same weight as Z ultra... 5" and almost same weight as Z Ultra (which is thinner), I guess it's the battery. Yes it's thicker, similar to Z.
It's brighter and more white than Z/V. And also X-Reality colors are not as saturated as Bravia Engine 2. Z Ultra display is better with richer colors and contrast although both are using the same screen. I just did a comparison side by side with Z Ultra. Z Ultra is much better whereas Honami is whiter/brighter. But take it with a grain of salt as I think the firmware in Honami is old.
Tried the camera, nothing to be wow about seriously. There's this bo liao app where you can take AR effect like a 3D dinosaur/fairies in the backdrop lol " Going by the above mentioned forum post; it is clear that Honami i1 is an upgraded version of Xperia Z. The Xperia Z1 has a better processor and above average camera. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates.
