Sony Xperia Z1 Leaks Ahead of Announcement: Free Sony SmartWatch 2 to Come in Selected Market

Prior to today's unvieling, images of the Sony Xperia Z1 aka Honami have been leaked yet again, boasting Sony Smart Shot interchangeble lens. However, this information isn't as surprising as the news from XperiaBlog, which says that those who buy the Xperia Z1 will get a Sony SmartWatch 2 for free. In fact the information comes through the leaked flyer from UK carrier EE that reads "Pre-Order the Sony Xperia Z1 and Get the Sony Smartwatch 2 for Free."

Since Xperia Z1 is on the verge of an announcement, lets have a quick look on the specs and features it carries:

The device comes with a 5.0 inch Triluminos display, 16% wider color gamut and offers a resolution of 1920x1080 pixel. Latest rumors also say that the device would come with Carbon fiber frame, Dragontrail tempered glass front protection and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 back protection.

The phablet would be powered by a 2.3GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (Krait 400) chip along with a Adreno 330 GPU. There would be a 2GB of RAM supporting the system as well. Although, it is expected to come with the latest Android Jelly Bean 4.3 but if not 4.2.2 is sure.

Moving on to camera, there would be a 20.7 MP rear camera with G lens (using Exmor RS CMOS sensor), f/2.3 aperture, capable of recording 4K (4096 x 2160) resolution videos at 30fps (using BIONZ imaging engine for still photos and X-reality Pro video engine for videos). One can also find a 2 MP Exmor R front-facing camera capable of shooting 1080p full HD resolution videos at 30fps.

Connectivity options include MHL, Miracast, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, LTE, Wi-Fi (a/b/g/n; a/c). Earlier rumors said that the device would come with a 32GB internal storage capacity but now other reports say that it would come with a 16GB along with the expandable microSD card slot.

There would be a 3100 mAh battery with new improved STAMINA mode powering the entire system of the Xperia Z1 phablet. The device would obviously be Shockproof, dustproof, shatterproof and waterproof and comes with a IP 55/58 certification.The device measuring 144 x 73.9 x 8.3mm also features IR Remote and Dual (Stereo) speakers

Talking about the Sony SmartWatch 2 that's said to come free with the purchase of the Xperia Z1, the wearable device is also water and dust resistant watch with an aluminum frame and signature Sony buttons. It has more than 200 apps on board and works with all Androids supporting version 4.0 of the platform and later.
