More alleged images of Sony Xperia Z1 Mini have surfaced on the web. The soon to be announced mini version of flagship smartphone will be announced in Japan on October 10, claims sources.
Japanese blog Rbmen has published new images of supposed Sony Xperia Z1 Mini f. It's the same phone that was spotted before the unveiling of Xperia Z1 early last month. Reportedly, the Sony Xperia Z1 mini f is a part of NTT DoCoMo's winter line up. The catalogue you can see clearly gives us a clear view about the upcoming mini monster phone. Further, Sony might announce the device with a different name for global markets. It is not known whether the global announcement in respect to Sony Xperia Z1 mini f is scheduled to take place in Japan or not.
This is not the first time a concrete report around Sony's upcoming Honami Mini has surfaced. Back in August, someone over at XDA developer forums had flashed a picture of supposed Xperia Z1 mini f next to the BlackBerry Q10. At that time it was revealed that the upcoming Sony made phone would compete with iPhone 5.
"Just ran some numbers and that Sony phone would be about 109.24mm tall and 57.88mm wide. Compare that against the 123.8 x 58.6mm iPhone 5.
IF this is Honami Mini then Sony are bloody wizards for being able to achieve something like that. Thickness is the only unknown factor. Sure it could be a low/mid range phone, or this could be a hoax... All the insiders seem to believe Honami Mini won't be seen until December at the earliest. What're the chances it'll be seen as early as IFA? "
Moreover, the alleged specifications of Homami Mini were published by a member on Esato forums sometime back in the first week of August. The device would have a 4.3-inch 720p HD display, Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset, 2GB RAM, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean, NFC, 4G LTE and a 20.7-megapixel camera complete with G Lens, Auto Focus and LED Flash light.
Sony could be prepping a mini version of Xperia Z1 to counter other popular handsets in market. Notably, Sony Xperia Z1 Mini f will complete against the HTC One Mini and Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini. The Sony Xperia Z1 is available at Rs 41,000 in the Indian market. If Sony comes up with an affordable version of Z1 mini, then there are more chances of Sony becoming a dominant player internationally.
