Sony has already launched the highly awaited handset the Xperia Z2 in India at the price of Rs. 49,990. The company has also announced that it would bundle the device with a free SmartBand which is worth Rs. 5,990. The device is fully camera oriented, very much like its predecessor the Xperia Z1 launched last year. One of the incredible feature that has been included in the device is that the device can shoot video at 4K resolution and since it is a waterproof handset, you can also take pictures and videos under water.
Since the device was just launched yesterday and the availability is said to begin from May 12th, GizBot has come up with a number of online retailers which have already started taking orders for the device from the customers.

The Xperia Z2 will be offered in three color variants viz. Black, White and Purple. It features a 5.2-inch Full HD Triluminos display with Live Colour LED powered by X-Reality engine (1920 x 1080p), and a pixel density of 424 ppi. It is IP58 certified - dust proof and water resistant over 1 meter and 30 minutes.
The handset is powered by this year's most used Qualcomm chipset, the snapdragon 801 quad core processor clocked at 2.3 GHz and Adreno 330 GPU coupled with 3GB of RAM. It runs on Google's Android 4.4 (Kitkat) OS.
The 20.7 MP camera is the first thing in the phone that will definitely impress you. Moreover the Xperia Z2 combines 4K video capture with a large 1.1 cm 20.7 MP Exmor RS for mobile image sensor, Sony's G Lens and the intelligent BIONZ for mobile image-processing engine has been used to enhance the imaging capabilities in the smartphone. At the front, you will get a 2MP sensor.
Connectivity options in the phone include GPRS, SPEED, WLAN, Bluetooth, microUSB v2.0 (MHL 3) and USB On-the-go.
The Xperia Z2 smartphone is powered by a 3200 mAh battery. According to Sony, it will offer a talktime of up to 19hours, standby time of up to 740 hours, music listening time of up to 120 hours and video playback time of up to 10 hours.
