Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Alleged Images Appear Online Ahead of Launch

If reports are anything to go by, Sony may release the Xperia Z3 Compact, alongside the launch of its older brother at this year's IFA tech show. Looks like the compact variant of the Xperia Z3 also getting the right attention ahead of global debut later in the fall.

Alleged images of the Xperia Z3 Compact appear online. The supposed device features a large screen and looks very similar to the original Xperia Z2 Compact.

At first glance, the new Xperia Z3 Compact does share similarity with the existing Xperia Z family; however, upcoming series will trip extra bezels around displays. Also, the upcoming Xperia Z3 Compact is said to come with the front-sided speakers.

According to existing rumors, the new mini device will feature a 4.6-inch FHD display. If true, this would make it one of the best rated displays on any mobile device. The handset would be powered by a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 processor, paired with 3GB of RAM and 16GB/32GB of native storage, with an option to expand the fitted internal memory. The phone would also sport a 20.7MP rear-facing camera and a large battery inside. It will likely to be run on Android 4.4 KitKat.

However, it is not yet confirmed whether the existing device has something related to the Xperia Z3 compact. But again, the leaked images strongly pin points at the arrival of the new premium handset from the house of Sony at IFA Berlin 2014. What do you think?
