Sony Xperia Z3 Compact Launched in India at Rs. 44,990: How Is It Different From Xperia Z3?
Along with the Xperia Z3, Sony has also launched its mini variant of the Z3 in India dubbed as Z3 Compact. Despite the considerable reduction in the size of the phone the Xperia Z3 Compact still bears a high-end price tag of Rs. 44,990. The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact comes in white, black, orange and green color options.

As far as the differences between the Xperia Z3 Compact and the Xperia Z3 are concerned, apart from the smaller display, the smaller variant also comes with a lower display resolution , i.e. HD resolution against Xperia Z3's Full HD resolution.

Another difference between the two would be the RAM which is obviously higher in Xperia Z3. It's the 2GM RAM of Xperia Z3 Compact against the 3GB RAM of the larger model.

Yet another differentiating factor is the battery capacity. It is understood that the larger variant comes with a larger battery pack and smaller with less capacity.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact: Key Specifications
The smartphone comes with a 4.6-inch HD IPS (1280x720 pixels) display powered by Triluminos technology with BraviaTV expertise.
It is powered by Snapdragon 801 quad core processor clocked at 2.5 GHz with Adreno 330 GPU. It has a relatively lesser 2GB RAM and runs on Android 4.4.4 (KitKat) OS.
The Xperia Z3 Compact shares the camera specs with the larger model. It uses the same 20.7MP rear camera with Exmos RS sensor, HDR photos and videos, 4K video recording, while at the front you will get to see a 2.2 MP camera with 1080p video recording capability.
The smartphone houses 16GB internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include 4G LTE / 3G, WiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL and NFC.
The IP65/68 certified device measures 8.6 mm thick and weighs 129 grams and is powered by a 2600mAh Battery with STAMINA mode.
Users will get to see almost all the perks that is offered in the Xperia Z3 handset including the Lifelog, water proof and dust proof build, 4G LTE support, PS4 Remote Play and even the design is pretty much alike.
Sony has not spoken about the retail availability of the handset at the moment.
