Japanese giant Sony is all geared up to release its next flagship smartphone sometime in September. The PlayStation 4 maker, whose last flagship had been available in the market since May of this year, is already started working on the next big thing. Dubbed as Xperia Z3, the sequel to the Xperia Z2 might hit the worldwide market in the last week of September.
There has been enough gossip about the Sony Xperia Z3 available to read, but this time around few live images of the device made their way to internet. Earlier pictures of the Xperia Z3 in white were leaked at the end of June, and now it appears to be a Black-colored version of the forthcoming handset.
The high-quality images of the so-called 'Xperia Z3' could belong to the Chinese variant of the device bearing the model number L55t. If these pictures are true, the Xperia Z3 isn't looking different from Sony's existing Xperia Z2 flagship model when it comes to design and gratifying looks. In fact, it is hard to differentiate between the two handsets. That also gives us a clear signal that the next flagship from Sony might come with a new design language.
The alleged leaked pictures also appear to confirm the Xperia Z3 to be powered by a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 CPU alongside Adreno 330 graphics, instead of more powerful Snapdragon 805 SoC. It also features the same 20.7MP G Lens camera that's found on the Xperia Z2. The handset runs on the Android 4.4.4 Kitkat out-of-the box. Moreover, there is no exact info around the phone's display and fitted RAM.
So far the Xperia Z3 appears to be an average affair, since its design and hardware features are not different from the existing Xperia Z2. It would be really tough for Sony to convince users to buy the Xperia Z3 over the forthcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or the Apple iPhone 6.
Meanwhile, GizBot has managed to feature top 5 trending rumors surrounding the Sony Xperia Z3. Take a deep look into sliders below. Happy weekend!

The leaked smartphone that has been linked to the model number D6653, is somehow associated with the Xperia Z3 and now it just happens to appear on the benchmarking site- AnTuTu. Thus, we can't ignore but to take it as another conforming factor to the existence of the Z3. Not only that, also because the AnTuTu benchmark scores that soared up at 37,169, the unannounced Sony D6653 can definitely be taken as a flagship model.
