Sony Xperia Z3: Next-Gen Flagship Smartphone Tipped For September Launch
Sony's latest flagship handset, the Xperia Z2, has been made available in many countries, including India, earlier last month. Although it is just three months since Sony first announced its most talked flagship phone at this year's Mobile World Congress, new rumors suggest the Japanese might have started preparing to release the next-gen handset in the Xperia series.
Struggling Japanese electronics company Sony is aiming to be one of the top ranked players in the handset business. Sony first launched the Xperia Z1 in September last year, and after a gap of six months, the Xperia Z2 was introduced to the world in February earlier this year. Looks like Sony would like to continue this trend in the future by coming up with the long rumored Xperia Z3 in September of this year.

Now, according to a latest report, Sony's next flagship will arrive in September with an all new design. Previous rumors in the past have suggested the handset to go official much before IFA Berlin 2014 tech show, scheduled to kick off on September 5.

Sources close to DooMLoRD, the XDA forum developer known for correct Xperia-related leaks, claims the new mighty phone will sport slim bezels and will be only 7mm thick. The report, however, will surprise many, as the new phone may not come packed with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.
Moreover, DooMLoRD claims Sony does not have plans to release the next-gen Xperia Z Ultra any time soon.
Sony Xperia Z3 - More Rumors
Not long ago, Chinese site Mobile.it168 had posted new images of the supposed Sony Xperia Z3. The images suggest the phone might be crafted out metal, instead of glass. Furthermore, the Xperia Z3 will have PVD coating technology, which will give the smartphone mirror stainless steel feature similar to once popular Nokia 8800, Gforgames informs.
Sony Xperia Z3- Rumored Specifications
Rumors have it that the Z3 will be launched with a 1080p Full HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal memory, a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, NFC, LTE , among others.
So far, there is no new info available in respect to the Sony Xperia Z3. The phone is expected to arrive in August, and will be pitted against the likes of Samsung Galaxy S5, Samsung Galaxy Alpha (yet-to-be-announced), HTC One (M8), HTC One (M8) Prime (yet-to-be-announced) and LG G3.
