Japanese giant Sony has already proved that the brand can give tough competition to Samsung and Apple. With the launch of the Xperia Z2 earlier this year, Sony has managed to woo consumers and critics alike.
Now, once again, Sony is planning to launch a brand new flagship device that could prove to be huge hit just like the company's previous big-ticket phones.

If rumors are to be believed, Sony will bring out new line-up of high-end smart phone under its Xperia brand at this year's IFA Berlin tech show. Sony will reportedly announce the successor to the Xperia Z2, alongside the Xperia Z3 Compact. Both the devices might become available shortly after their unveiling, before the end of September.
This alleged info comes from a leaked internal document from network provider Vodafone Germany, which will hold a competition for the carrier's stores. The leaked document has made it online via go2Android and shows that the carrier's store representatives will earn points by selling the Xperia Z3 when it arrives on retail shelves. If the report comes true, Vodafone Germany expects to have both the devices much before the September 30.
Sony Xperia Z3 - What to expect?
Sources close to DooMLoRD, the XDA forum developer known for correct Xperia-related leaks, claims the new mighty phone will sport slim bezels and will be only 7mm thick. The report, however, will surprise many, as the new phone may not come packed with the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor.
Rumors have it that the Sony Xperia Z3 might come with a 1080p Full HD display, a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor, 3GB of RAM, 16GB/32GB of internal memory, a 20.7MP rear-facing camera, NFC, LTE , among others.
Sony Xperia Z3 Compact- What to expect?
The miniature version of the Xperia Z3 is said to come with a 4.5-inch FHD display, a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with Adreno 330 graphics, alongside a modest 2GB of RAM. On the imaging front, the compact handset will feature a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2.1-megapixel front-facing shooter.
