In January 2015, precisely the 5th day of the next year, Sony will be launching the next generation Sony Xperia Z smartphone, i.e. the Xperia Z4. The company has announced the launch schedule of the phone a week back or so.
Anyway, today, a new leak has appeared online that shows the LCD Touch Digitizer which will be most probably used in the Xperia Z4 next year. The Sony branding at the top of the panel clearly shows that the new component belongs to Sony smartphone.
Although, there are several rumors suggesting the specification of the device, it appears the display would be a bit different in terms of placement of components like camera module and sensors. Further, on the the top, the speaker has been moved to the edge, while the front-facing camera and proximity sensor have swapped positions. And on the bottom, the speaker has also moved to the edge.
As far as the specs of the device is concerned, according to the rumors, the Xperia Z4 will most probably come with a 5.5-inch display offering a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. Also one of the most powerful chipsets from Qualcomm - the Snapdragon 810 CPU will power up the Xperia Z4 smartphone along with 4GB of RAM, and 32GB of native storage. Moreover, rumors also brought Qi wireless charging, and IP68 certification under the spotlight.
However, none of these have got the official confirmation from Sony. Anyway, since the smartphone will debut in January 2015 during CES in Las Vegas, you will certainly get more information of the device then or if not, sooner than that.
