Sony Mobile Communications has announced the latest addition to the Xperia smartphone range with the affordable Xperia E. This Android smartphone will have both single SIM and dual SIM versions and would be out by the first quarter of next year. The smartphone is targeted at budget smartphone seekers.
Sony Mobile stated that the smartphone will be of compact make and will be competitively priced, built specifically for simplicity. Xperia E is available with color options and has spectacular HD Voice. The phone also has excellent noise cancellation feature which will filter out unwanted background noise which facilitates users to have clear-cut conversations in all kinds of environment.
Xperia E and Xperia E dual will both come with the same features including HD Voice, 3D surround sound and DLNA connectivity. Xperia E will feature in pink, white and black colors while Xperia E dual will feature in gold and black colors.
Sony Xperia E will support Android 4.1 Jelly Bean at the time of launch. It has the processor Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM7227A clocked at 1GHz, 3.2 MP rear camera, HVGA display of 3.5 inches, 512 MB RAM and 1500mAh removable battery.
According to Calum MacDougall, Director of Xperia Marketing, Sony Mobile Communications, consumers just beginning to browse through the world of Xperia phones will find Xperia E and Xperia E dual the best options to begin with. He added that these smartphones will ensure that the users would get access to the functionality as well as quality that are normally associated with Android phones belonging to the high end range.
