Sony Xperia Neo L, Sola, Xperia SL, GO and U Receive a Price Cut in India
Here's a bit of good news for avid admirers of Sony Xperia handsets. Sony India, has considerably reduced the cost price for around 5 of its most popular models. These are Xperia Neo L, Xperia Sola, Sony Xperia SL, Xperia GO, Xperia U, etc.
All these devices have received a pretty decent price cut with both the Xperia Go and Xperia Sola now available for Rs 14,590; Sony Xperia U for Rs 13,990. Xperia Neo L can be purchased now at Rs 14,990 and Sony Xperia SL costs Rs 25,990. Sony Xperia Ion and Sony Xperia S are other models that may see a reduction in prices soon.
There's no doubt that the slash in prices would reflect positively on the sales of these models during this year. The latter half of 2013 would also see Sony coming out with the Xperia Z smartphone if all goes well.
The Sony Xperia Android models have been coveted by many with its sleek designs and many utilities, particularly cloud storage. However, these handsets have evaded the frugal-minded customers for some time now.
But with the recently adopted pricing strategy, the company is certainly on its way to strengthening its presence in the Indian market.
Subsequent to acquiring Ericsson, novel methods to boost sales were adopted by Sony. This was aimed at maximization of the company's growth in terms of marketing operations and a series of Xperia brand smartphones were released as a result of this. Right now, Sony Tipo is the most affordable among all Android smartphones released by the Japanese manufacturer.
