Sony Mobile has slowly started launching its Xperia V around the world with Russia being its latest target. Formerly launched in Japan, the smartphones are now available for purchase in Russia.

Sony Xperia is a water-proof version of Sony Xperia T. The smartphones released in Russia are highly overpriced. Even though, pricey smartphones are common in the country, Xperia V seems way out of reach being priced at a steep 24,990 rubles (Rs. 44,340 approx.).

Xperia V is now available for purchase only through internet, that too only the black color version. The white color Xperia V is still on pre-order with no clue about when it will be shipped. The smartphones are slated to hit shelves by December 16 though.
