Intex recently said it would launch a smartphone priced under Rs. 2000, while Samsung is reportedly planning to launch two new low-end phones. The high-end market is already saturated, but there's a hope in the affordable segment.
After Celkon and Karbonn, now it's turn of yet another domestic vendor to show off a brand new affordable handset. Spice Mobility is hoping to find success in the low-end market with its Flow Rainbow M-6111. The budget phone is priced at Rs. 2599 , and will be made available via Saholic.com. The new device will be available online starting June 19.
Spice is one of the growing line of tech vendors that are focusing more on affordable phones. And the new Spice Rainbow M-6111 is no different.
The dual-SIM phone has a 4-inch display with a resolution of 480 x 272 pixels. Unfortunately, there is no information available around the phone's processor and supplied RAM.
It looks like the handset runs on a proprietary operating system, instead of Google's Android OS. It has a 1.3MP rear-facing camera. The makers have added a 1000mAh battery fitted inside. Connectivity options on the phone include GPRS, Bluetooth, WAP, among others.
The great thing about the phone comes with additional four candy colored rear back covers bundled inside the package.
The new Spice Flow Rainbow M-6111 will face even greater competition in a segment, all thanks to increased competition.
