Spice Launches Stellar 520n in India for Rs 6,999; exclusively via Amazon

While Spice Mobility hasn't indicated plans to unveil the successor to the Android One smartphone just yet, the company is surely looking to expand its footprints in the low-end smartphone market.

The Delhi-NCR based handset maker launched in India on Thursday a Rs. 6,999 priced smartphone, the Stellar 520n, which is aimed at boosting sales amongst its targeted audience.

The domestic smartphone maker tied up with ecommerce site Amazon to launch the Rs. 6,999 priced phone, which is powered by Google's Android operating system, and targets the growing low-end of the world's third-largest smartphone market.

"We are delighted to launch the Stellar 520n exclusively on Amazon, thereby offering our customers a superior product and retail experience at the same time. We are convinced that with Amazon's excellent reach and our great product, this exclusive tie up will enchant our customers," Prashant Bindal, CEO, Spice Mobility, said in an official press statement.
The entry-level smartphone, Spice Stellar 520n, boasts a 5-inch HD IPS display. Under the hood is a 1.3GHz quad-core processor, paired with 1GB of RAM, 8GB of RAM and microSD card support.

The 3G-enabled handset measures 8.3mm in terms of thickness, and runs on Android 4.4 ( Kitkat). There's an 8MP rear-facing camera, and a 2MP front-facing shooter for selfies.

Other highlighted specifications include a 2,000mAh battery, 3G/2G, Wi-Fi, Dual-SIM, GPS and Bluetooth, among others. The company is also offering ering a bundled flip cover and 3 back panels (Red, Yellow and White) for free with every purchase of the Stellar 520n.
