In an attempt to expand its dual SIM smartphone offerings, Indian handset manufacturer Spice has released Mi-320 smartphone. The handset is made available on the online shopping site of Spice Mobility, Saholic.com at a budget friendly price of Rs 4,899, which is almost 21% lesser than the MRP. Reportedly in other retail outlets, the handset will be available at a price of Rs 6,199.

Display & Dimension: The handset boasts a dimension of 111 x 59.6 x 12.8 mm and sports a 3.2 inch TFT LCD touchscreen display with 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
Processor & Storage: Packing a 650MHz processor, the handset has 256MB RAM and a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB expandable memory.
Camera: Mi-320 has a 2MP rear camera and lacks a VGA front camera in the handset for video calling, which is present in many other low cost Android smartphones.
Operating System: Being a budget smartphone, Mi-320 runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, which is an older version of the Google's OS.
Connectivity: On the connectivity front, the handset has 3G HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, HSUPA 5.76 Mbps, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP, WiFi, Wi-Fi HotSpot and micro USB 2.0 features.
Battery: Mi-320 is powered by a 1,200 mAh Li-ion battery.
Spice Mi-320 comes with a plethora of preloaded apps and sofware features including NetQin Antivirus software and Vault privacy app bundled along with A-GPS free for six months and social networking apps.
With the specs and price range of the Mi-320, it is clear that the handset is released into the market to create swirls in the low cost dual SIM Android smartphone category.
On the competition front, leading India based handset manufacturer Micromax is also in a spree of launching new low cost Dual SIM Android smartphones to secure a major share of the price-conscious Indian consumer market in 2012.
Going by the records, Micromax recently unveiled quite an innovative budget smartphone Smarty A25 priced at Rs 3,899.
Speaking about the specifications, the Micromax handset runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS, similar to the Spice Mi-320.
Further, Smarty A25 sports a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen display with 240 x 320 pixel resolution, 1GHz processor, 256MB RAM, 120MB internal memory, a micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB, 1.3MP camera, connectivity features like Bluetooth 2.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and 1,280 mAh Li-ion battery.
