Spice Smart Flo Space, Stellar Glamour Now Available at Rs 3799 and Rs 5999
While the Dollar continues to rise against falling Rupee; Indian tech vendors are doing brilliantly by launching sub Rs. 7000 Android powered smartphones in the market. In this difficult period, it would be difficult to sell high-end devices or even mid-level for that matter. The demand for features phones in India is dying at a rampant rate.
To encash this opportunity, Spice Mobility has come up with two affordable smartphones in the Indian market. Yesterday, GizBot informed you that Spice Stellar Glamor, which was spotted on company's official site, now goes official. Another handset, the Spice Flow Space also launched with an attractive price point.
"We have witnessed massive growth with low-cost offerings and delivering the best android experience without sacrificing on performance or features. These products positionthemselves as premium budget phones with enhanced features and better than what competition is offering. This latest offering by Spice is a perfect amalgamation of functionality, style & entertainment. ", as per Mr. T M Ramakrishnan, CEO - Devices, S Mobility Ltd
The growth witnessed in the affordable dual-core smartphones would definitely encourage International players like Samsung, among others to announce ultra affordable Android powered smartphones in the Indian market. The South Korean giant already retails its cheapest Android -based phone - the Galaxy Star at Rs. 5,000. In the same way, Nokia also has Asha 501, a handset based on S40 OS.
Soon LG will announce L1 2 in the Indian market under Rs. 6000. The option in front of Indian consumers is to wait for LG or Samsung to lower down the prices of existing phones costing Rs. 8000 - Rs.9000. Or announce latest phones with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and dual -core processors under Rs. 6000. When value of Dollar is increasing against Rupee; in this scenario International vendor would even scare to announce sub Rs. 7000 handsets in the Indian market? So, the best bet is to go for Indian tech vendors, who are selling handsets with above average specifications.
