Swipe Konnect 5.0 Review: Camera and Video
Smartphones are more camera centric these days than they were even a few years back. Every new smartphone you see will at least offer a 5MP sensor to get the imaging aspect of it out of the way. And the Swipe Konnect 5.0 isn't any different.
The Swipe Konnect 5.0 comes with an 8 megapixel rear auto focus camera. In the front, the phone has a 3.2 megapixel camera. The rear camera comes with a OmniVision sensor, apart from HDR, Smile Shot, and Panorama options.
The camera UI could be considered similar to other Android phones from local OEMs that run Android 4.2. That being said, the rear camera is actually quite fast and manages to focus quickly. However, we were a bit dissapointed by the fact that the camera doesn't capture true color.
The other issue we had with the camera is that even though some of the color was captured by the sensor, the colors never seemed vibrant enough. In fact, they were a bit faded, to be honest. Also add some focus issues to the list.
As far as low light imaging is concerned, they created a lot of noise. However, the night mode of it seemed better with less noise to report about. Apart from the, the device's front facing 3.2-megapixel fixed focus sensor also turned out to be decent offering.
Other features include the option to launch the camera directly from the lockscreen. Plus, There's the navigation bar on the left pane that will let you change the camera modes which include HDR, Panorama, Burst mode, Smile shutter and more.
