Swipe Konnect 5.0 Officially Receives Android KitKat 4.4 Update

It hasn't been long since Swipe released its first ever Android Jelly Bean-running smartphone in the form of Konnect 5.0 last week. Now the company has announced that it has started rolling out Android 4.4 (KitKat) update for the smartphone.

With the new KitKat update now on offer for the smartphone, users will experience better performance and UI changes for the device, In addition to that, the the smartphones will also offer customizable UI which can be personalized with multiple effects, themes and transitions.

The Swipe Konnect 5.0 already comes in black and white color options and the company is also offering a free screen guard, flip cover and premium business navigator worth Rs.1,499 with the handset. Moreover, the company is also said to release 10 new devices in India in the same Konnect series by next quarter.

Swipe Konnect 5.0 comes with a 5-inch (960 ×540 pixels) qHD capacitive touch screen IPS display and it is powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM. It runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean) OS, but with new update the device will offer KitKat.

The smartphone is quite impressive in terms of camera and the pricing, as it comes with an 8MP rear camera with OmniVision sensor and LED flash and a 3.2 megapixel front-facing shooter as well.

The phone's Internal memory is seated at 8GB, however, you will also get an option to expand it up to 32GB via microSD card. Connectivity option includes 3G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS and obviously it is a Dual SIM handset.

The Swipe Konnect 5.0 measures 148x74x8.9mm and weight 135 grams and it is powered by a1950mAh battery.
