HTC One Dual SIM Now Available in India With Tata Docomo Special Plans: What About Competition?

Taiwanese handset maker HTC recently announced its alliance with India based mobile operator Tata Docomo. Accordingly, both the companies will work jointly to launch a range of smartphones at different price points over the next five months.

 

Currently, HTC One dual-SIM (GSM and CDMA) will be the first phone falling under the alliance and is available for Rs 46,257. Thus, as part of the alliance, Tata Docomo is also launching special offers for its prepaid and postpaid customers.

Tata Docomo Head (Non Voice Services) Sunil Tandon putting more light on the recent tie up, reportedly said, "This phone (HTC One) uses the dual networks (GSM and CDMA) of Tata Docomo to offer great data & voice experience to customers. Our innovative offerings will appeal to both individual and business customers who desire a data rich experience."

However, the telecom service provider did not talk about the features and benefits thats going to come with the special offer for it HTC One dual SIM prepaid and postpaid customers.

Going by the specs, HTC One dual SIM handset comes packed with 4.7-inch Full HD IPS Display with Optical Lamination and Gorilla Glass 2. It offers 1920 x 1080 Pixels resolution and pixel density of 468ppi. The device is made of brushed aluminum, and looks classy.

To talk about the internals, there is a 1.7-GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 quad-core processor powering the handset along with 2GB RAM. The smartphone runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean with a layering of HTC Sense 5 UI with BlinkFeed. HTC One, Dual SIM variant houses an internal storage capacity of 32 GB which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

The HTC One dual SIM features high-rated UltraPixel camera powered by HTC Zoe. There's a 2-mega pixel front facing camera with wide angle lens. The dual speakers have been placed on the front panel, also known by the name of BoomSound. Leaving behind the dual SIM support, other connectivity options include NFC, 3G, 2G and Wi-Fi. The phone measuring 9.3mm in terms of thickness and weighs 143grams is eventually powered by 2,300mAh Li Ion battery.
