Top 5 Smartphones Coming in Third Week of December 2013

The upcoming week within December will be a hectic period for the tech community in India as there are launch events lined up in the month. These includes Gionee, Lenovo, Xolo Tegra 4 featuring tablet, Nokia, and many more. Thus one can imagine the rush in the coming weeks.

However, not all would be interested in all of these upcoming events. Thus toady GizBot has come up with a number of handsets that would be launched in India this week. It would be very much exciting week as you would be seeing a new line up of Lenovo handsets.

The maker of K900 will bring tow giant phablets in the market. While the Finnish giant Nokia will also launch their Lumai and Asha devices that were first unveiled in the IFA 2013 trade fair couple of months ago. Sadly the prices of these devices are yet not confirmed as of now.

Not only that but Indian smartphone market also witnessed a number of handsets from Max and DataWind last week. However, leaving apart the handsets of last week, lets take a look at the specs of the devices that will be launched this week.

Lenovo S960

The Lenovo Vibe X (aka S960) boasts an ultra-slim body and a shocking 120 grams of weight, it uses Android 4.2, MediaTek SoC - a quad-core 1.5GHz MT6589T, 2GB of RAM, 5-inch 1080p IPS display that delivers about 440 pixels per inch, Gorilla Glass 3 coating, 16GB of internal storage, 5-megapixel front-facing, 13-megapixel rear shooter and a 2,000 mAh battery.

Nokia Lumia 1520

The Lumia 1520, Nokia's first 6-inch FHD phablet, is expected to be launched in India on December 16. The device boasts of powerful inbuilt hardware and majestic built quality. The Lumia 1520 incorporates a 2.2GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC coupled with 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory which can be expanded via a micro SD card up to 64GB. There's a 20-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. The rear-facing camera also supports Optical Image Stabilization (OIS) feature. Also, a 1.2MP wide-angle front facing camera will be sufficient for long video chat. The makers have added a 3400mAh battery fitted inside. Other highlighted connectivity features include: NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, 2G EDGE, Bluetooth, GPS and more.

Samsung Galaxy Grand 2

The Galaxy Grand 2 incorporates a 5.25-inch 16:9 TFT display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The phablet features a 1.2GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1.5GB RAM and 8GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via a microSD card slot. The phone has an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. The rear-facing camera is capable of recording videos in Full HD 1080p format, whereas a 1.9-megapixel front-facing camera records video in HD. Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out of the box with Samsung's customized UI will surely excite you. Lenovo S930

The Lenovo S930 will come sporting a 6-inch HD screen, Android 4.2, 1.3 GHz quad-core CPU MTK 6582, 1GB RAM, 8 MP rear and 1.6 front camera along with 8 GB internal memory with expandable memory option via microSD and 3,000 mAh battery. Besides, Lenovo S650 will launch equipped with 4.7-inch screen, quad core CPU, Android 4.2, 1GB RAM, 8 GB internal memory with expandable memory option via microSD and 2,000 mAh battery.

Nokia Asha 502 Dual SIM

Nokia Asha 502, one of the newest handsets under the Asha brand, is expected to be launched in India next week. The phone incorporates a new design, which Nokia calls 'Dual shot layering effect'. The Asha 502 is coated with ‘crystal -effect ‘casing. The device features a 3-inchQVGA display having a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels. There's a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera with LED Flash. The phone also comes with revamped S40 OS with a layer of Swipe UI. The makers have added a 1,100mAh battery fitted in side. The phone support 32MB of internal memory which can be further expanded via a microSD card.
