This week saw the advent of quite a lot of smartphones in India. However, not all devices that get launched are great in terms of specs and features. Anyway, even Micromax has released a new low-end budget friendly KitKat powered smartphone in the Bolt series.

One of the Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is also planning to launched its 'Flagship Killer' - One smartphone in India by next month. This should build an intense competition against all the existing high-end devices in India.

Anyway, today, GizBot has come up with the top 5 smartphones that got launched in India this week. However, one of the five smartphones that have been launched has not been released in India at the moment but should be launched in the market within a week or so.

The latest offering from Alcatel houses 8GB of internal memory, which is expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. The smartphone houses 13MP autofocus camera with LED Flash which can shoot 1080p Full HD video. At the front, users will get to see a 5MP snapper. The new Android KitKat based Millennia Epic also has a quad core 1.3GHz Cortex A7 processor, 1 GB RAM and 16 GB internal memory with expandable memory up to 64 GB. It features an 8MP autofocus camera and a flash light in its rear panel. It also has a 2MP front camera for selfies and 3G video calling along with HD video recording and playback. The Millennia Epic also supports OTG, dual SIM, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, micro USB 2.0 port, FM radio, and GPS with A-GPS.

The ZTE Grand S2 comes with dimensions of 157 x 77 x 9.1 mm. It offers an IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen with a big 5.5 inch display for great color reproduction. The new Grand S2 offers a 13 MP primay camera with support for 4128 x 3096 pixels and autofocus. apart from that, it also offers a 2MP front facing camera that offers shooting at 1080p at 30fps. However, the only downside of the handset is that it runs on the dated Android Jelly Bean OS. The phone offers a massive 3100mAh battery unit that is expected to run an entire day and then some. Other specs include Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 Quad-core 2.3 GHz Krait 400 processor, 16GB of internal memory with 2GB RAM, it also supports up to 32GB via microSD. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, dual-band, DLNA, Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth v4.0 and A2DP.

The Panasonic Eluga I has an 8-megapixel autofocus rear-facing camera with single LED Flash that can also record full high definition videos (1080p) at 30 frames per second.
