Videocon Mobiles Launches 8 New Android Smartphones Under Infinium Range, Price Starts At Rs 6,000
While the world is moving into the territory of 4G LTE-Advanced, India on the other hand is still trying to promote 3G connectivity in a big way. Videocon Mobiles, a part of USD$5 billion Videocon group, has come up with premium ranged 3G capable smartphones.

The newly announced Infinium sub-brand houses four handsets as of now. It includes eight new models: A55HD, A55qHD, A54, A53, A52, A48, A42 and A31. The tech vendor hasn't revealed the pricing of each handset, but indicated that the range would start around Rs 6,000.
The Videocon A55HD packs a 5-inch IPS display (OGS) having resolution of 1280 x720 pixels. It features a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and 4GB of ROM (expandable up to 32GB of ROM via a microSD card slot).
There's an 8MP rear facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. Also add a 3.2-mega pixel front facing camera. The makers have added a 2000mAH Li Ion battery. It is already on sale at Rs 13,499. Other connectivity options include: 3G, Dual SIM, Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth with A2DP, amongst others.

There's a 5MP rear facing camera with Auto Focus and LED Flash. Also add a 1.3-mega pixel front facing camera. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean comes out of the box. This device also has dual SIM connectivity. The makers have added a 1650mAh Li Ion battery.
The other two handsets, Videocon A42 and A31 come with average specifications. The A42 packs a 4.5-inch FWVGA, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of ROM, 4GB of ROM (expandable), 5MP rear facing camera and is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The makers have added a 1700mAh Li Ion battery.
The A31 comes with a 4-inch WVGA display, 1.2 GHz dual-core processor, 512MB of ROM, 512MB of ROM, 4GB of ROM (expandable), 5MP rear facing camera and is powered by Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. The makers have added a 1550mAh Li Ion battery.
