ViewSonic V430 owes its impressive performance to a Qualcomm Snapdragon single Core processor with a clock speed of 1 GHz. It only has 512 MB of RAM but it does a great job providing quick accesses to applications. When it comes to applications, ViewSonic V430 offers a wide array of thousands of applications because the device runs in Google's Android v2.2 Froyo operating system. V2.2 Froyo is a mild drawback as presently the consumers have a better and wider choice of smartphones to own, running in a later and cooler version of the operating system, namely Gingerbread.
Anyways, the User Interface and the overall performance of Android Froyo in V430 are acceptable and can get the job done. The display specifications are awesome if you wish to consider that particularly before buying a smartphone. ViewSonic V430 comes with a huge, brilliant 4.3 inch display. The display is WVGA multi touch screen. However, for its size, it offers only a low resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The media players are quite awesome and the handset offers good audibility and acceptable sound quality. The Video/audio players in V430 are easy to operate on and are also designed to support a few of the common media formats including Mp4, Mp3, WMA, WAV, etc.
V430 offers video conferencing with its VGA secondary camera at the rear. But don't expect good quality though. The 5 Megapixels primary camera at the front is very good and offers impressive quality to the images captured with it. Though not much to shout about, the camera specifications are quite satisfying. V430 is not 3G compatible as per the reports. But reportedly, it supports hi speed 802.11 b/g/n WiFi and features GPS and v2.1 A2DP Bluetooth as well. There is no news on the USB port version though, but majority of the reports claim that the handset is equipped with a v2.0 USB. ViewSonic V430 is expected to appear for sale with an affordable price in India this year itself. The price details still remain a mystery.
