Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi which follows an original business model might come up with a latest 4G supported handset soon. According to the report by Focus Taiwan, Xiaomi president Bin Lin said that the 4G-capable Xiaomi handsets would hopefully be launched "as soon as possible."
Thus, you can expect the company to to join the 4G league which is pretty much filled with top-tier smartphone makers like Apple, Samsung, LG, Sony and others.
Moreover, Xiaomi intends to ship at least 60 million smartphones this year, including the first models with 4G connectivity. We are possibly talking about the smartphone named Xiaomi Mi3S. Although it is just a rumored device, as far as its specifications are concerned, they include Android KitKat, quad-core 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch 1080p display, and an 8MP front-facing camera.
Moreover, this will just be the first phone with 4G capability. On the other hand, PhoneArena writes, "a 4G version of the affordable Red Rice / Hongmi smartphone might also arrive later this year."
The four year old company, best known for its unique business model of selling its devices directly via its official Online store, announced its plans to expand its business in India including 9 other markets recently.
Thus, there are chances that it could launch its 4G capable smartphone in India as well. On the adverse side, the company has not made any plans to expand its business in the US.
