Before its official and expected debut, Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi has launched its brand new India website. While the site is now live at Mi.com/in, it's yet to reveal any details. However, more is expected to arrive from it in the coming weeks.
The brand new India website launch has happened just days after the company announced that it hired Manu Kumar Jain as its General Manager for India operations. However, there's no confirmation on when the Xiaomi-made products will be available for purchase in India.
Xiaomi, if you aren't aware, is already offering smartphones and accessories at pocket-friendly price-tags. In fact, the company is currently operational in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Malaysia.
The company currently retails products like Mi3, RedMi, RedMi 1S and RedMi Note in these countries, with Xiaomi also expected to start its operations in Philippines and Indonesia soon.
As we said before, there's no saying when the country will start delivering its products in India. However, a number of rumours talk about a possible Diwali launch.
But going by the fact that the company has already made its India website official, it's only accepted that we could see the release earlier than that.
