Xiaomi Mi 3 Gets MIUI 6 Update in India

As promised, the Chinese handset manufacturer Xiaomi has started rolling out MIUI 6 for the Xiaomi Mi3 users in the Indian market. During the launch event of Xiaomi Mi4, the company revealed that, Mi series handsets will receive the MIUI 6 update based on Android 4.4 KitKat in India soon.

The recently launched Mi4 smartphone already comes with MIUI 6. The update is now available over-the-air (OTA) or you can also check for the update manually by going to the Updater application.

The update MIUI V6.3.2.0.KXDIBL is of 540MB in size, and has number of improvements like improved notifications, better security functions, enhanced email app, enhanced notifications shade, UI improvements, etc. The Chinese company, Xiaomi is expected to release the update for Redmi Note 4G next week, while Redmi 1S and Redmi Note 3G version will get MIUI 6 in early March.

Xiaomi Mi3 comes with a 5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display with a full HD (1920×1080 pixels) display which is translated to a pixel density of 441ppi. It runs on 2.3GHz Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor, Adreno 330 GPU alongside of 2GB RAM. It comes with the internal storage of 16GB with no expansion slot.

On the imaging factor, it is equipped with 13MP rear camera with autofocus and dual-LED flash, 2MP front camera which can record 1080p videos. It carries a dimension of 8.1mm thickness and weighs around 145 grams. Further, it is shipped with Android 4.4 KitKat, on top of MIUI 5.

This device is powered by a non-removable 3,050mAh battery, which the company claims is good enough for up to 500 hours of standby time.
