While this is Xiaomi's first ever venture into the Indian market, the Chinese company already looks set to come as an influential player in the market. The Moto G from Motorola, on the other hand, has already become quite the force to reckon with in the budget segment.

The Motorola Moto G, on the other hand, sports a lesser 5-megapixel primary camera, sporting a pixel resolution of 2592х1944 pixels, with autofocus and LED flash. The device also has a secondary 1.3-megapixel camera on board that's more than enough for conducting video chats.

While the Motorola Moto G is equipped with a 1.2 GHz quad core cortex-A7 processor and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, its Xiaomi counterpart powers up the Mi 3 via a more powerful 2.3 GHz quad core Krait 400 processor.

The Xiaomi Mi 3, in this respect, offers 2GB of RAM with the devcie arriving in a 16GB internal memory variant. However, the option to expand the device's memory further is missing due to lack of a microSD slot.
The Motorola Moto G, on the other hand, offers 1GB of RAM while offering the device in 8GB and 16 GB internal memory variants. Again, there's no option to expand the device's memory as an external microSD slot for additional memory is missing.

While the Motorola-made Moto G juices up the KitKat-powered device via a 2070 mAh battery, the Xiaomi Mi 3 is powered by a much greater 3050 mAh battery.

Xiaomi Mi 3 Vs Motorola Moto G: Verdict
We don't want to rush into conclusions, but it seems like the new Xiaomi-made Mi 3 has all the specs and potential inside it to be a Moto G killer. Of course, the Motorola-made device boasts the latest KitKat Android offering, and we aren't sure if the Mi 3 will receive an update for the same.
However, the device makes up for the lack of KitKat by offering a super processor, massive camera and more powerful battery that can easily dwarf any smartphone in the same league.
