Xiaomi Mi4 To Launch on July 22: Expect Metal Body, 13MP Camera and More

Today, one more device from Xiaomi referred to as Mi4 has hit the online world. This smartphone is obviously the successor to the company's Mi3, and has been made official through an image teaser on Xiaomi founder and CEO Lei Jun's Weibo account.

Xiaomi Mi4 To Launch on July 22: Expect Metal Body and More

As far as the device's availability is concerned Xiaomi Mi4 will be announced on July 22 in China, according to the reports and will be released on the same day. Apparently, the Mi4 will come featuring a metal body. Moreover, the teaser has been revealed in Chinese language, which translates to, "The journey of a piece of steel metal."

Xiaomi Mi4 - What Features to Expect?

Since, the online tech news industry is still not aware of the Xiaomi Mi4 specs at the moment, we have no option but to believe in the fact that it comes with a following rumored specs.

The upcoming Mi4 is said to come with 5.2-inch 1080p display, Nvidia Tegra K1 or Snapdragon 801 / 805 SoC, 3GB RAM and a 13-megapixel rear camera along with Xiaomi's MIUI OS based on Android 4.4 KitKat. Since the company recently announced that it would launch smartphones with LTE support, so the Mi4 is likely to come with 4G LTE connectivity.

Xiaomi has achieved a very strong foothold in the Chinese market in a very short span of time and it is now said to foray in India. Xiaomi has already listed its first mid-range handset called the Mi3 on its official website in the nation.

Xiaomi Mi3: Key Specifications

Priced at Rs 14,999, Xiaomi Mi3 sports a 5-inch IPS display offering a full HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels) and 441ppi pixel density with Corning Gorilla glass protection. It is powered by a 2.3 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 800 (MSM 8974AB) processor coupled with 2GB DDR3 RAM and it runs a custom interface dubbed MIUI that is a very different take on Android. The smartphone also features a high-end camera modules.

You will also find a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Sony Exmor BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture, 1080p full HD video recording along with a 2MP front-facing camera with similar specs as the rear camera. The latest Xiaomi smartphone which measures 114mm×72mm×8.1mm and weighs 145g will house a 16 GB internal memory. Connectivity options include 3G, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n (2.4/5 GHz), WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, and NFC and will draw its energy from a 3050mAh battery
