Xiaomi Redmi 1S Sale Begins Today on Flipkart at 2 PM

China-based smartphone maker - Xiaomi has already milked the Indian smartphone market to the maximum and yet it continues to conduct the flash sales of its Redmi 1S smartphone in the country for the 9th time.

Xiaomi's 9th sale of its latest budget phone Redmi 1S will go for another "Flash Sale" today and this time, it is said that about 1,000,000 units of the phone will be on sale. The pre-registration to participate in the flash sale is over now (it was open till yesterday midnight) and online e-commerce giant Flipkart will open up the sale at 2.00 PM sharp today.

It said on Flipkart: "The Redmi 1S sale begins on November 4, 2014...Registration for the Nov 4 sale is now closed. If you have registered for this sale, please Login."

And its Twitter account said last night, "Mi fans, you have up till midnight to register for tomorrow's Redmi 1S sale!!" When opened, the message said, "Lucky MI fans, you'll get a Redmi 1S in your cart by 4PM on 4th Nov. 1-Day only 10% discount applicable on selected cool Redmi 1S covers," it added.

Xiaomi Redmi 1S: Key Specification

The Redmi 1S sports a 4.7-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a layer of Dragontrail glass. It comes powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The phone runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Xiaomi's MIUI layer on top.

Talking about the photography aspect of it, the smartphone features an 8MP rear shooter and a 1.6MP front facing camera as well.

On the storage front, it uses 8GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. It is a dual SIM smartphone with other connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB support. It is fueled by a 2000mAh battery.
