Xiaomi's seventh flash sale of Redmi 1S is going to kick off today. The smartphone has been selling like hot cakes so far and it is quite interesting to see the increased popularity of the Xiaomi phones in India in short span.
The Chinese smartphone maker headed by Hugo Barra in India, has however, not revealed the number of units to be sold this time. However, it should more than 50,000, if the previous sales are to be analyzed.
The flash sale would start around 2PM in India today. Priced at Rs. 5,999, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a layer of Dragontrail glass.
It is powered by a 1.6GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM. The latest Redmi 1S runs a highly customized Android version 4.3 with a company's UI. Talking about the photography aspect of it, the smartphone features an 8MP rear shooter and a 1.6MP front facing camera as well.
On the storage front, it uses 8GB of internal storage which can further be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card. It is a dual SIM smartphone with other connectivity options like 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth and USB support. It is fueled by a 2000mAh battery.
