Xiaomi is one of the those China-based smartphone manufacturers that have really found a liking to the Indian market. And rightfully so with the market being one of the top places to do business in, in recent times.
The company has already been in news for quite some time owing to its massively talked about Xiaomi Mi 3 handset. However, it wanted to go big with the announcement and has today taken the opportunity to reveal a host of devices. One of which is the new Redmi Note.
We already have some big name Chinese players currently operating in the Indian market like Lenovo and Gionee. And while even these names are trying to make a certain pedestal for themselves among others like Samsung or Sony, Xiaomi comes a crucial juncture to make that pedestal a bit stronger.
As we mentioned before, the company today unveiled its new Redmi Note. Going through the device's specs once more, the Redmi Note, unveiled back in May, sports a 5.5-inch display with 720 pixel IPS support.
The device has 2 GB of RAM coupled with 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor. It has 8 GB of onboard storage and a micro-SD card slot that supports another 32GB. The device runs on Android 4.2 that has been optimized with MIUI version 5.
Apart from that, the device sports a primary 13MP rear camera with LED flash, alongside a 5MP snapper at the front of it. The phone is juiced via a massive 3200mAh battery. So don't worry about running out of juice in the middle of the day.
As revealed by the company at the launch event, the Redmi Note, that's set to be available at a price tag of Rs. 9,999, will be made available soon. A potential release date for the device is yet to be disclosed.
However, interestingly enough, the company has already listed the Redmi Note on its site at Rs. 9,999.
