Xiaomi is yet to start its yet another flash sale for the Redmi 1S smartphone in India today. The sale would start at 2PM today and there are 1,00,000 units of the device on store for Indian customers today. More than 3,00,000 customers have registered to buy the smartphone this time.
The popular Chinese smarpthone maker on the other hand has today rolled out an update for Indian users that fixes several issues, including heating issues with improved thermal control algorithm to regulate temperature, improved RAM availability in MIUI to prevent background apps getting killed , better UI performance by fixing issues such as frame rate drops and UI lag when performing intensive tasks like gaming.
Hugo Barra via the Xiaomi MI forum announced the update. The headman in Xiaomi has, in detail, briefed about the new update. According to the description, the latest update would also improve the battery life since it reduces the device's temperature. Xiaomi says the it has rolled out the update for these fixes after receiving feedback from a large number of users. Check out the changelog of the MIUI JHCMIBH45.0 update.
The update size is 11MB for the users updating their phone from v43, however if you are updating Redmi 1S from v41 to v45, you will get around 515MB of the update.
"Today we released an over-the-air system update (v45) for the Redmi 1S. This release incorporates feedback received from a large number of users and addresses a few important issues," Barra wrote on Facebook.
