Apart form Android One smartphones that have been launched in India just a couple of weeks ago, Xiaomi's Redmi 1S has been milking the Indian market like no other. Just today, the Xiaomi has sold 60,000 units of Redmi 1S smartphones in 13.9 seconds and it was the fifth flash sale in India.
Compared to all the other four flash sales that Xiaomi conducted in the past week weeks in India, the fifth sale took more time to exhaust the stock. Anyways, the company has also said that the next flash sale for the Redmi 1S would happen only on October 14th.
Thus far, Xiaomi has sold over 2.4 lakh Redmi 1S smartphones in India till the fifth sale. Moreover, it should also be noted that the popular Mi 3 will also be back on sale during Diwali. This was announced by the company just a week back.
The company has also started taking up registrations for the 14th October sale from today itself.
As far as the specs are concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi 1S comes with a 4.7-inch HD 720p display, 1.6GHz Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor paired with Adreno 305 GPU, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of native storage, microSD card slot, 8MP rear-facing camera, 1.6MP front-facing shooter, 2,000mAh battery, Android 4.3 Jelly Bean, MIUI slapped, 3G, Wi-Fi, dual-SIM, Bluetooth and GPS.
