Xiaomi, which is known for its home baked MIUI, is reportedly working on the next version, which is MIUI 7. In this version, they are focussing on boasting the automatic personalization optimization.
The company also stated that Mi 5 with the MIUI V7 operating system based on Android Lollipop will be unveiled soon.
The Xiaomi news blog mentioned "Android ROM developers like Cyanogen and ParanoidAndroid have been partnering with hardware manufacturers to help these phone makers differentiate themselves in a crowded and competitive marketplace. Team Kang at AOKP announced on Thursday that it will be working with Xiaomi as the latter starts work on MIUI 7".
Moreover, this MIUI 7 will be based on the Android 5.1 and will debut in the Mi5 device. The UI is known internally as MiKangy and is expected to combine all of the features available with Cyanogen, PA, Omni and AOKP. According to a post on the Team Kang website, MIUI 7 will allow users to "create an experience which completely submerges the user in his own world."
The AOKP Blog mentions, "MIUI 7, (which the team internally calls codename MiKangy, not to be confused with MiKandi), is a whole new take on the Android UX. The idea behind it is to kang all important features from the top ROMs like CM, PA, Omni and AOKP and create an experience which completely submerges the user in his own world. The UI will evolve with the user, and thus a few months after usage, the UI of each Mi 5 phone will be different - personalised to the traits of its individual user."
