Xiaomi Smartphones To Officially Debut in India on July 11
Xiaomi Technology may be unknown to the outside world, but the firm is quite popular in China. Often known as the ‘Apple of China,' Xiaomi is desperate to enter India with a big bang. And as per the latest reports, it looks like, the company's first handset, could be launched in the country as soon as next week.
The handset maker has already started teasing its India debut on their official Mi India Facebook page. Now after a thunderous response from fans for their support, the Mi India Facebook page says, "A big thank you to all Mi Fans who showed your support and joined Mi at the start of our incredible journey. We have something special for you, do come back on 11 July 2014 for the announcement post."

Additionally, the company's India website is running a contest for buyers where they need to answer 'Which Mi phone do you think we'll be launching first?'
Apart from these details, there is no official confirmation on the availability of the first ever Xiaomi-made phone or multiple devices. However, the above mentioned post seems to hint at a something big to happen on July 11. Watch this space for more action!

Earlier reports in the past claimed that the Chinese major smartphone maker will begin offering a couple of devices through e-retailer Flipkart, following the footsteps of Motorola. Apparently, Xiaomi is expected to launch a couple of devices in India in the next 2-3 months. It recently hired Jabong co-founder Manu Kumar Jain to head its operations in India, according to an alleged report surfaced last month.
The Beijing-based Xiaomi shipped a jaw drooping 26.1 million handsets in the first six months of the year, it said in an official press note. Sales for the first six months rose 149 percent from a year ago to 33 billion yuan ($5.32 billion), Xiaomi said.
