Xiaomi Teases New Flagship Smartphone Ahead of January 15 Launch
Xiaomi's video teaser today confirms rumors surrounding the Mi5 which have been circulation for some time. The Chinese tech giant took to Facebook to tease its upcoming flagship handset.
The company has released a short video teaser about the soon to be launched monster phone. Well, releasing a teaser video so early itself hints that the device may be the company's best bet to muscle down the Apple iPhone 6.
Xiaomi, the world's third largest smartphone make, will announce the new Mi flagship smartphone on Thursday, Jan.15; though it's still unknown whether the upcoming handset will be called the Mi5 or Mi4S.
The video gives clues on what to expect from Xiaomi's upcoming flagship device. The teaser also shows some strange sentences, hinting that the handset will be thinner and lighter.
According to rumors, Xiaomi will also release the second-generation Redmi Note alongside the flagship smartphone.
In the meanwhile, the Mi5 is rumored to sport a 5.7-inch quad HD display, Snapdragon 805 or 810 processor paired with 3 GB RAM, Android 5.0 Lollipop OS, an improved 13-megapixel camera sensor, 5-megapixel front-facing shooter, and a 3000 mAh battery.
Xiaomi is expected to launch the Mi4 in India sometime later this month. Stay tuned to GizBot for more updates!
