Xolo A500S Launched At Rs 6,999 With Xolo Secure Anti Theft App: A Big Threat to Sales of 5 Handsets

Since the launch on Nokia Asha 501, the tech world has seen a series of handsets launching in the budget price category. Leaving behind the foreign mobile phone makers, Indian handsets are also making a remarkable impact on the market by offering a wide range of handsets.

Competing fellow domestic rivals, Xolo has recently launched their latest Android smartphone called A500S at a decent price of Rs. 6,999. Moreover, The handset will be a speed breaker for manufacturers like Micromax and other international giants like Samsung and LG. Thus, the handset will definitely face a head on rivalry with a lot of devices from domestic as well as internal handsets. However, overlooking the rival devices in the present market, let us have a brief rundown on the specs of the recently launched Xolo A500S.

Xolo A500S comes with a 4.0 inch TFT Display offering a screen resolution of 800 x 480pixels and pixel density of 233ppi.

The newly launched Xolo A500S runs on the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 operating system and is powered by standard 1.2 GHz dual-core processor along with a support of 512 MB RAM. A500S is also loaded with a Mali-400 MP graphic for a great gaming experience.

Talking about the camera, there is a 5MP rear camera with a LED flash and a VGA front facing camera for video calls.

There is an internal storage capacity of 4GB which is expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card. Connectivity options include 3G, USB, WiFi, Bluetooth. Apart from that, the handset comes with a dual SIM support.

Eventually, Xolo A500S is powered by a 1400 mAh battery that will give up to 10 hours of talk time on 2G and 8 hours on 3G. Users can enjoy listening to music for approximately 53 hours.

Xolo A500S in terms of build is 9 mm thick and comes in 4 color variant from Black, Blue, Red and White.

The best feature in the recently launched Xolo A500S is that it comes packed with an exclusive apps like Xolo Secure (Anti-theft app) through which the handset can be protected from data loss or thefts. Another feature called Xolo Secure can back up the call logs, SMS and it can also track down the phone's location remotely.

However, every new device inevitably has to go through the path of competition and Xolo A500S is no exception. Thus, the smartphone will be fighting against devices like recently launched Karbonn Smart A11 Plus, Karbonn A9+, Micromax A65, Nokia Asha 501 and Lava Iris 405.
