Domestic vendor Xolo has expanded its affordable handset collection, with a new 5-inch HD smartphone.
The phone, Xolo Q1010, was first spotted on Flipkart late last week. Now the e-retailer has started selling the device at a price of Rs. 12,998.
These days we are seeing a lot of new Android-powered phones priced under Rs. 13,000 price slab. Though, it's too early to assume that the coming of Motorola Moto G in India have started influencing the sales of handsets made by domestic vendors.
However, one thing is certain that Motorola did raise a few eyebrows, when it announced the base model of Moto G will cost Rs. 12,490.
Coming back to Xolo's latest offering, the Q1010, in particular, comes with an impressive hardware.
The device features a large 5-inch IPS LCD display having a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels at 295ppi.
Under the hood, the phablet comes fitted with a 1.3GHz quad-core processor powered by MediaTek MT6582 processor and 500 MHz Mali 400MP2 GPU, backed by 1GB of RAM and 4GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 32GB via a microSD card slot.
On the imaging front, the Xolo Q1010 incorporates an 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with BSI sensor, Auto Focus and an LED Flash. Also, add a 2-megapixel front-facing camera for long video chat sessions.
The device runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box. We would have expected at least Android 4.3 Jelly Bean in this era.
Other connectivity options include: a 3G connectivity support, Wi-Fi, Dual SIM, FM Radio, A-GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG and more. The makers have added a 2250mAh battery fitted inside.
