Lava's premium smartphone arm Xolo has today has silently unveiled its latest smartphone called the Xolo Q1011 via its official site at the price of Rs. 9,999. The smartphone is being sold exclusively via online retailer Amazon. However, the retail site mentions that the phone will be in stock on June 27, 2014.
This is Xolo's second budget-friendly device that got launched with the Android KitKat OS. The first phone that was launched with the Android KitKat flavor was the Q600s.
The latest offering from Xolo comes with a 5-Inch HD IPS with One Glass Solution technology and it offers a resolution of 1280 x 720 and a pixel density of 294ppi and it is powered by MediaTek 1.3 GHz Quad Core processor and Mali 400 - MP2 GPU clocked to 500 MHz. The smartphone also uses 1GB of RAM and as said earlier, it runs Android KitKat v4.4 operating system.
The handset can also make an average imaging device as it features an 8 MP rear camera with BSI Sensor and LED flash and a front facing 2MP shooter as well. The rear camera can shoot videos at Full HD resolution and also features options like Scene detection and tuning, High Dynamic Range (HDR), Low Light enhancement, Face recognition, and Geo Tagging.
Connectivity options include: USB v2.0 High Speed, USB OTG, BT 4.0, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, and 3G. Moreover, it is needless to say that the handset comes with a dual SIM slot as most of the Xolo Phones come features the same. It houses an internal storage capacity of 4GB which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card.
In terms of form factor, the latest Xolo Q1011 measures 143.6 x 72.2 x 8.3 mm. Xolo has packed in a 2250 mAh battery in the phone, which according to the company will offer a 2.5 hours of charging time. Also the company says that the handset will offer up to 550 Hours of standby time on 2G network and 509 hours in 3G network and 26.82 hours of talktime on 2G Network and 13.55 Hours on 3G.
The latest offering from Xolo is likely to compete with the latest of all the Android KitKat phones that have been launched in Indian market off late. To be precise, the recently launched Spice Stellar 600. Other potential rivals would be Lava Iris X1 and the Moto G, Moto E, Micromax Unite 2 A106 among others.
