Lava's premium smartphone arm - Xolo has today announced a new smartphone called the Q1020 in the Indian market. This one also falls in the company's popular Q-Core series. One of the impressive things about the device is that it comes with a wooden frame. Pretty odd for a regular mobile phone users but turns out, it is pretty nice looking.
The Xolo Q1020 comes in black and white color options and is priced at Rs. 11,499. The new smartphone is also capable of taking good pictures with advanced camera module incorporated in it. Moreover, the the maker has also added a new feature - Hotknot file transfer technology and lockscreen gesture in the phone.
Xolo Q1020: Key Specifications
The Xolo Q1020 sports a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display translating at 294 ppi. Moreover, the phone is also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3. The latest offering from Xolo is powered by 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek 6582 processor coupled with 1GB RAM. It runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat).
In terms of camera, the new smartphone uses a superior 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, Exmor RS Sensor, 5P Lens, 1.1µm pixel size and f/2.2 aperture value. At the front, users will get to see a 2MP front-facing snapper which allows users to take better selfies and make video calls. The device also offers a full HD video recording and playback.
The 8.7 mm thick Xolo Q1020 smartphone houses 8GB of internal memory, which is further expandable up to 32GB via microSD card. Powered by 2100mAh battery the smartphone gives option of 3G , WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS as well. Obviously, the new offering from Xolo is a dual SIM handset.
It is not sure when the company will start selling the handset. However, since, the company has already announced it, you can expect the sales to start soon.
