Last week Lava's premium subsidiary arm Xolo listed its latest Q1100 smartphone on its official website. The company has now officially launched the device at the price of Rs. 14,999. Since the device falls in the price category which is already quite clustered with number of latest devices, it will have to face a number of competitive handsets along the way. Among all, Moto G from Motorola could be taken as one of the most potential rivals.
Lets refresh on the specs of the device. It comes with a large 5-inch HD IPS display with One Glass Solution (OGS) display technology.
The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 CPU and Adreno 305 graphics engine with 450 MHz clock speed along with 1 GB of RAM. It runs on Android v4.3, an even sweeter Jelly Bean that offers enhanced user friendly UI, latest openGL ES 3.0 support for high performance graphics and many more features like optimized location and sensor capabilities.
The device has an average storage unit of 8 GB which is further expandable up to 32 GB. The Xolo Q1100 also comes with a 8 MP AF rear camera with BSI 2 sensor. The 2 MP front camera with BSI sensor is good enough to take selfies and make video calls.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi, 3G, Dual SIM, A-GPS, FM Radio, Bluetooth 3.0 and USB 2.0.
The smartphone is powered by a 2000 mAh battery, which according to the company offers a stand-by time up to 600 hours in 2G and up to 450 hours on 3G. The talk time is 24 hours on 2G and 12.5 hours on 3G.
Also the device comes with exclusive Snapdragon apps like Audio+, Qualcomm Quick Charge and Battery Guru. Snapdragon Audio+ offers high quality audio and a rich surround sound. Its Quick Charge feature charges a mobile up to 75% faster than the usual conventional technology.
