Xolo Q1200 and KitKat Powered Q600s Smartphone Now On Sale in India

When Motorola and Flipkart brought Moto E smartphone in India, most of the Android smartphone users were surprised and super excited. The very reason behind people getting excited about the phone was the Android KitKat flavor that was being offered at the price as low as Rs. 6,000. This has now become the initial phase of the low-end Android KitKat handsets.

Xolo Q1200 and KitKat Powered Q600s Smartphone Now On Sale in India

Just yesterday Lava's premium smartphone arm Xolo has secretly started selling its two new handsets that fall in the company's Q-Core series, which is very popular on its own. These smartphones are dubbed Xolo Q600s and Xolo Q1200. The former one comes at the price of Rs. 7,499 and latter one will cost you Rs. 14,999. Both these handsets can be bought from third party online retailer Snapdeal. Xolo has not officially launched the device as of now.

What is impressive about the Xolo Q600s is the same quality that is mentioned above of the Moto E. It comes with Android KitKat out of the box. The other one comes with a Jelly Bean version but it is upgradeable to KitKat version.

Xolo Q600s

Going by the specs, the Xolo Q600s comes with a 4.5-inch (960 ×540 pixels) FWVGA capacitive touch screen display. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android 4.4 (KitKat). It features a 5MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 0.3MP (VGA) front-facing shooter as well. The smartphone comes with a 4GB of internal memory which is further expandable via microSD card. There are 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth and GPS connectivity options. Moreover, you will also get a Dual SIM (GSM + GSM) support in the handset with Dual Standby. It is powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

Xolo Q1200

On the other hand, the Xolo Q1200 comes with a better specs but older version of Android OS. It features a 5-inch (1280 x 720 pixels) HD IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is also powered by a 1.3 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB RAM and runs on Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), (upgradable to Android v4.4 KitKat). There is a 8MP rear camera with Dual LED Flash and Sony Exmor R sensor along with a 2MP front-facing shooter. Native storage is seated at 8GB and it is expandable via MicroSD card. Connectivity options include G, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS, USB OTG. The Xolo Q1200 comes powered by a 2000 mAh battery.

The company has also promised to release the Android KitKat update to its older handsets. In terms of competition, the latest offering from Xolo will have to face the smartphones like Lava Iris X1, Micromax Unite 2, Micromax Canvas Engage and as said earlier Moto E.
