Xolo Q610s treated with Android Lollipop 5.0 Update
Noida head-quatered smartphone manufacturer, Xolo has released the new Android Lollipop 5.0 update for one of its device dubbed as Q610s. The latest update is now available as a manual download on the company website and we expect the over-the-air (OTA) roll-out to begin in the upcoming days. If you don't know how to manually install the update, the company has provided the full guide at their official website.

While Xolo hasn't shared an official change-log about the updates, we can see I improvements, enhanced notifications, ART as default runtime, better performance, guest mode and more in the phone after the Lollipop update.
XOLO Q610s - Key Specifications
XOLO Q610s was launched in August last year with, 4.5-inch capacitive display featuring 480x854 pixels. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MTK6582M processor along with 1GB RAM. On the internal storage, it is equipped with 8GB memory, with an expansion slot of up to 32GB via microSD card slot.

Moving on to the camera, it sports a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and VGA front camera. This device is shipped with Android 4.4.2 KitKat out of the box.
Coming to the connectivity, this dual SIM (GSM+GSM) smartphone supports Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, FM, 3.5mm audio jack along with few sensors like proximity sensor, accelerometer sensors. Coming in White and Brown variant, it carries a price tag of Rs. 7,099 on the e-retail and offline stores.
On the other hand, Lollipop updates comes with new material design which offers a bold, colorful and responsive UI design, refreshing notification system. It allows the users to see the notification in the lock screen and heads up notification are displayed like banners on the top of the screen.
Additionally, there is do-not-disturb feature also added in the notification bar. This update also contains battery optimization, which includes battery saver mode, job scheduling and a new developer tool called Battery Historian which tracks the battery consumption by the apps.
