Xolo Win Q1000: New 5 Inch Windows Phone Tipped To Launch Soon in India

It's hard to predict what the future holds for Microsoft's Windows Phone OS, but there's a lot of enthusiasm among the local handset manufacturers in India.

Initially, Xolo was among the few Indian brands to introduce the mid-end Windows Phone 8.1 smartphone in the country earlier this year. Now, the company is once again planning to add yet another Windows-based phone to its portfolio.

To be called as the Xolo Win Q1000, the forthcoming phone has been spotted on the Zauba Indian import/export website. Notably, Xolo has already started importing the device in various batches.

The device in question, Xolo Win Q1000, comes with a 5-inch screen, alongside dual-SIM. The forthcoming Windows Phone is still in the dark which means that many of its features remain unknown. Rumors do point to it as having a quad-core processor and a modest 1GB RAM under the hood.

The rest of its specs are unknown though we suspect that at the very least it will have above average specifications.

Believe it or not, the Xolo Win Q1000 could be the successor to the original Win Q900s, which went on sale in June this year. The device, which is going to cost approximately Rs. 9,000, features a 4.7-inch HD display ; 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 (MSM 8212) processor ; 1GB RAM ;Windows Phone 8.1 OS; 8GB of native storage; microSD support; 8MP rear-facing camera; 2MP front-facing shooter; 3G; Wi-Fi.
