Japanese electronics giant Sony is flying high these days on success of its mega handset, the Xperia Z1. Recently, Sony accidently listed the speculated Xperia Z1F or Xperia Z1 Mini on Sony's website. The Sony Xperia Z1F recently went on sale in Japan.
Until now, it was constantly reported that the device had less chance to appear in other countries. So after a brief appearance of Sony Xperia Z1s on Sony's official website, rumors around the device have once again fueled speculations.
Sony immediately pulled down the page, after the news of the company coming up with an international variant of Xperia Z1F went viral.
Originally, Sony revealed the Xperia Z1F, a smaller version of the Xperia Z1, in Japan. Multiple reports in the past suggested that Sony would launch this same very handset in other countries with another name (Xperia Z1s). The exact specs of the Xperia Z1s is not known; however, most likely the device will be same as the Japanese model.
The Sony Xperia Z1F features high-end specifications and costs less than the Xperia Z1.
The Xperia Z1F comes with a 4.3-inch 720p HD display. It also houses a 2.2GHz quad-core processor powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory (expandable up to 64GB via a microSD card slot). The makers have added a 2300mAh battery.
The phone packs a 20.7-megapixel rear-facing camera with G Lens, BIONX image processor and an LED Flash. The device is complete waterproof and dustproof, just like the Xperia Z1. The Xperia Z1F measures 9.4mm in terms of thickness and weighs 140 grams.
Well, right now it would be tough to predict whether the device ever comes to India or not. GizBot expects the phone to cost around Rs. 34,000 in India.
