Russian mobile broadband service provider Yota Devices has launched the successor of Yotaphone recently in Russia and UK market. Dubbed as Yotaphone 2, the dual-display mobile was initially announced at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) held in Barcelona, earlier this year.
Reportedly, Yotaphone 2 is priced at 699 Euros (Rs. 53,230 approx) in Europe, and 555 GBP in UK. It is also available in the CIS, Middle East. Further, it will be released in Hong Kong before this December and will also be available for sale in Taiwan, China and other Asian markets in Q1 2015.

This dual-display smartphone from the Russian makers, sports a 5-inch AMOLED display with a resolution 1920 x 1080 pixels on the front and always-on Electronic Paper Display(EPD) at the back with 4.7-inch. It is packed with 2.3 quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor alongside 2 GB of RAM, 32GB of internal memory, 8MP rear camera with LED flash, 2MP front facing camera, runs on Android KitKat(4.4) and it is powered by 2550mAh battery with wireless charging.

Coming to the form-factor it carries a dimension of 8.9 mm thickness and weighs around 140grams. Further, on the connectivity front, Yotaphone 2 also supports 4G LTE / 3G, Wi-Fi , Bluetooth 4.0, GPS w/A-GPS + GLONASS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.
As for now the tech media world is not sure about the pricing of the EPD display smartphone, however, the company has confirmed that the global release will take place around 2015, and same is when we can expect the handset to reach Indian market. On the price front, we expect more details in the upcoming weeks.
