Indian mobile manufacturing, Zen mobiles has launched it's new smartphone Zen Ultrafone 701 HD. The smartphone which runs on Android 4.2 Jelly bean comes with a a 5 inch IPS capacitive display with 720p resolution, MTK 6589 1.2 GHz quad core processor, PowerVR SGX 544 GPU.

Switching over to the camera specifications of the smartphone, the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD comes with a 8MP rear camera with BSI sensor auto-focus, 3.2MP front camera, LED flashlight. The smartphone supports, Single Click Panorama function to take 360 digree Panaromic pics in one go.

The Dual-SIM smartphone supports connectivity features including 3G, Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0, micro USB, GPS and 3.5mm jack.

The handset comes with pretty decent Memory specifications, including 1 GB RAM and 4 GB ROM and micro SD card slot. As for the battery, Zen Ultrafone 701 HD comes with 2000 mAh capacity, with standby time of about 240 hours and talktime of up to 8 hours. The smatphone is available for for pre-order for Rs. 11999 at snapdeal. Mind you, the Pre-Booking requires you to make a down-payment of Rs. 101.

Xolo A1000 which runs on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS, packs a 5 inch HD IPS OGC capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1GHz dual core processor, 8MP rear camera and a 1.2MP front camera, 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM and a micro SD card slot, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and micro USB 2.0 connectivity and 2,100 mAh battery.

Micromax Canvas HD houses a 5 inch HD IPS capacitive touchscreen display with a resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, 1.2GHz quad core MediaTek MT6589 processor, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system, 8MP rear camera, VGA front camera for video calling, 4GB internal storage, 1GB RAM, micro SD card slot supporting up to 32GB additional storage, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS/A-GPS and a 2,100 mAh battery.

Conclusion

Zen Ultrafone 701 HD has a slightly lesser pixel resolution and battery support than the Xolo A1000 and Canvas HD. Coming to the processors, the Zen Ultrafone 701 HD packs a 1.2 GHz quad core processor which is the same as the one in Canvas HD and is indeed faster then the Xolo A1000's 1GHz dual core processor. Apart from these differences, the three smartphones seem to be in par with each other, with respect to other specifications.

The real difference maker is the price of the smartphones. Zen Ultrafone 701 HD is priced at Rs. 11999, Xolo A1000 is priced at Rs. 13999 and the Canvas HD is now priced at Rs. 15999.

Taking the above into consideration, Zen Ultrafone 701 HD seems to have an advantage.
