Zen Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD with 8MP Front Facing Camera Officially Launched in India At Rs 17,999

Earlier this month, GizBot ran an exclusive story saying that Zen would come up with a Full HD handset within this month. Now the device has been officially announced and its dubbed as Ultraphone Amaze 701 FHD. It has already available at Rs. 17,999 on Snapdeal.

However, this is not a completely new handset but instead a tweaked version of Zen Ultrafone 701 HD which was launched back in April.

Going by the specs, the new handset comes with a 5-inch full HD IPS display offering a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is based on one-glass solution (OGS) technology and Corning Gorilla Glass 2 protection.

It is powered by 1.5 GHz quad-core processor coupled with 1GB of RAM and runs on Android Jelly Bean v4.2.

The phablet houses 16GB internal storage capacity which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card.

Connectivity options remain regular with 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, microUSB and aGPS. Apart from that, as regular as it may sound, it also features a Dual SIM (GSM + WCDMA) support with Dual Standby.

It has a 13-megapixel auto focus rear camera with BSI 2 sensor. Additionally it also features a LED Flash capable of shooting video at 1080p Full HD quality. Apart from that there is a presence of a massive 8-megapixel front-facing shooter which is very rare in mobile devices.

The handset draws its energy from a 2050 mAh battery. The handset comes with a free Smart Cover and three screen protectors. The company says that the device is compatible to Android 4.4 as well so the company will jump directly to it instead of Android 4.3 update first.

A couple of days back even Micromax launched its latest Canvas Turbo with the similar Full HD display. It comes with a 2GB RAM and would be the Ultrafone Amaze 701 FHD's direct competitor. There is also Spice Pinnacle FHD Mi-525, Intex Aqua i7, Lenovo K900 and Zopo ZP990.
