At a time when smartphone market is filled with the buzz of Samsung's and Sony's latest smartphone offering to the market – Chinese handset manufacturer ZTE has joined hands with Intel corporation and has launched the first of its kind Android ICS smartphone powered by
single-core Intel Atom Z2460 CPU – dubbed as ZTE Grand X IN.
According to the company, ZTE Grand X IN uses the low power consumption of Intel Atom Z2460 processor along with the efficiency of Intel Hyper threading technology to deliver a performance that is unmatched by most smartphones in the segment. With the help of Intel XMM 6260 platform ZTE Grand X IN extends support to HSPA+ 21 Mbps network. These Intel technologies are combined together to deliver consumers with a high performance, energy efficient smartphone.
ZTE Grand X IN features a 4.3 inch and 16 million color screens. The device also incorporates a promising an 8 Mega-pixel camera and features Blu-ray quality movie playback which will allow users to seamlessly enjoy High definition videos. A 1,650 mAh Li-Ion battery promises extended battery life and the handset looks sleek and compact with dimensions of 127x65x9.9mm.
ZTE Grand X IN also incorporates all the standard connectivity features including Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi direct, DLNA etc. ZTE has included Dolby Sound in the device to enhance the multimedia experience. High definition video recording at 1080p is also facilitated in this ultra modern device.
ZTE Grand X IN will hit markets in Europe starting next and will become the first smartphone in the continent to feature ‘Intel Inside’. A launch into the Asian market has not yet been confirmed. As of now, ZTE has not explored the Indian market either. So release of ZTE Grand X IN into the Indian market is not on the cards, at least for the time being.
